We are delighted with the coverage, in The Shields Gazette, that tells of our wonderful art installation that is part of our Armistice commemorations.

School would like to thank everyone who has donated bottles and knitted poppies to make the installation so spectacularly stunning.  Mrs Ramshaw’s idea and hard work has certainly paid off.  Thanks also to Mr Atkinson for rigging the structure and putting holes into so many poppies!  Also thanks to Miss Ho who gave up her time to paint and hammer in holes!

Thankyou to everyone for helping to make my idea such a huge success ,to everyone who learnt to knit especially to make the poppies parents ,grandparents and all family members..To everyone who provided the plastic bottles whether it was one or bag fulls. All of the children who voluntarily gave up break times to help paint them .A special thank you to the residents of Mariposa care home who helped too.A big thankyou to Mr Atkinson, Miss Ho and Miss Noble as without their help the installation would not have been possible. From Mrs Ramshaw

    • Where will we put it next year?
Delighted that the There But Not There installations have also arrived to complete the vision. Hopefully more thoughtful discussions generated.
