We have had an amazing time at The Word. Last week the children used non fiction texts to find interesting facts about The River Tyne and The River Don. The children were filmed reading their facts from an autocue. They were able to observe and ask questions about the media suite and how editing a film works.
The children also made their own animations using the app Stikbot. They used Lego to make the animations and were able to edit and add music and text via IMovie.
I was very proud of the children’s work, please have a look on our YouTube channel.
If your child has a Jarrow library card, they can use it at The Word too. The Word is much more than a library, with many free activities on to too.
