Today Year 5 went to explore Beamish! They visited lots of the different sights of the open-air museum, including the 1900s town; the new 1950s town; the pit village and the colliery. They had an amazing time and made the most of this beautiful weather! They even had time to complete a local history workshop, which links to our topic on mining this half term.
In true Dunn Street fashion, members of the public were blown away with the pupils’ impeccable manners and had lovely things to say about us. Well done, Year 5!
